The support has divided bearings to guide the crank shaft, with bearing shells arranged between bearing blocks (1) and bearing covers (3). Additional extensions (4) are provided, which are connected in the longitudinal direction by reinforcement elements (5). The bearing block, the bearing cover and the reinforcement elements are moulded as one unit, which is separated in the crank central plane (6) by breaking and are connected together again by screw bolts. The extensions, the bearing cover and the reinforcement element are open, coreless profiles. |
