The plastic fastening element (20) is formed out of a heated, injection molded blank (10) consisting of a plastic material with shape memory. The shank (12) of the blank (10) has a smaller cross section than the bore which is to accommodate the fastening element (20) with its protruding sections (16). To open the joint heat is applied to the fastening element (20) which (as a consequence of its shape memory) returns into its original shape, i. e. into the blank (10). |
