<p>The winch, contained in a housing (1) consists of an endless screw (2) designed to be turned by a cranked handle and engaging with a helical gear (3) fixed to one end of the shutter or blind drive shaft. The screw has a braking mechanism formed by a washer (6) fixed to each end and located between two thermoplastic bearings (7, 8) that are fixed relative to the housing. The axial thrust produced by the screw and helical gear during operation compresses each washer between two bearings, creating a friction braking effort.</p> |
