PURPOSE: To form a luminescent layer of a fine pattern easily and precisely in an atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: Luminescent layers 31 to 33 are formed by forming films from polymer compounds, and hardening them in a given pattern by irradiating light on them through a mask and bridging them. It is desirable to make photo bridging with a cinnamoyl group, cinnamylidene group, chalcone group, isocoumarin residue, 2,5-dimethoxystilbene residue, thymine residue, styrylpyridinium residue,α-phenylmaleimide residue, anthracene residue and 2-pyrone residue, or bisazide of aromatic compound.
