THERMAL EXPANSION TYPE TEMPERATURE MEASURING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A thermal expansion type temperature measuring apparatus is provided to minimize labor, installation cost and time by rapidly and accurately measuring the overall surface temperature of metal through the use of coefficient of thermal expansion. CONSTITUTION: A fluid pipe(1) is arranged to tightly contact the surface of metal, and the fluid pipe is filled with a fluid(2). A fluid communication pipe(3) having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the fluid pipe is connected to an end of the fluid pipe. The fluid communication pipe has a fluid collecting portion(4) and a pressure converter(10) arranged at the other end of the fluid communication pipe. The pressure converter has a data transmission cable(20) arranged at the other end of the pressure converter so as to be connected to an analog or digital display unit(30). The pressure converter includes a piston(11) made of a packing material, a pressure sensor(12) for sensing the operation volume of the piston, and a converter(13) for converting the value of pressure sensed by the pressure sensor into the value of temperature.
