PURPOSE: A method and a system for confirming E-mail by an E-mail transmission confirmation between a sender and a recipient are provided to make E-mail checked only in case that both a sender and a recipient transmit E-mail to each other. CONSTITUTION: A computer system is comprised of a web server(10), a mail server(20), a member information DB(30), a mail DB(40), and a checked mail DB(50). A user accesses the web server(10) through the Internet using a web browser. The mail server(20) executes a mail sending/receiving function and a function to compare and judge whether E-mail has been exchanged between a sender and a recipient. The member information DB(30) stores information for members' names, E-mail addresses, IDs, pass words, and visit frequency. The mail DB(40) stores the sender ID, sender name, recipient ID, recipient name, sent date and contents of an E-mail transmitted from either a sender or a recipient. The checked mail DB(50) stores E-mail information for the sender ID, sender name, recipient ID, recipient name, sent date and contents of each E-mail transmitted to the other side between a sender or a recipient, 'if read to judge whether E-mail has been checked, and ''if delete' to judge whether E-mail has been deleted. |
