PURPOSE: A heating apparatus of a microwave oven is provided to heat food promptly and efficiently, and to minimize heat loss by directly heating food in the cavity with heat generated from a heater. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven is composed of a cavity(20) having a hot air discharge part(24) including a porous part in the upper part, and a suction part(26) including a porous part in the edge; a heater(34) installed in the upper part of the hot air discharge part; and a fan(42) installed in the upper part of the suction part to supply heat through the heater and the hot air discharge part to the cavity by sucking air from the cavity. The fan is surrounded by a housing, and the housing is connected to the suction part. The hot air discharge part is connected to an air guide, and the housing is connected to the air guide. Heat loss is minimized, and food is cooked promptly by directly heating food in the cavity with heat from the heater.
