The drilling chuck has a chuck body in which a spindle receiving means is provided at the end for fixing on the spindle of a drilling machine and a tool receiving means is provided at the opposite end. Clamping jaws project into the tool receiving means and are mounted displaceably for adaptation to the diameter of the tool to be clamped, which is fitted into the tool receiving means. The chuck body comprises a fibre-reinforced plastics material.
