<p>A flexible retainer (10) for securing a web-like material, such as a table skirt, to a flat surface or table. The retainer (10) has a frontwardly extending upper member (40), a substantially U-shaped lower member (60) having a frontwardly extending first leg (62), and a primary member (20) connecting the upper member (40) to the lower member (60). The structure of the retainer (10) and the configuration of its elements help to mask its appearance when used to retain a table skirt. In addition, extending into the lower end of the primary member (20) are one or more vertical slots (30,32), which define one or more fingers (31,33). The configuration of the slots (30,32) serve to improve the flexibility of the retainer (10), while maintaining the primary member's (20) surface area for disposition of fasteners.</p> |
