PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality ink jet recording paper, with which few blurs develop and a high image density is obtained. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording paper, a porous ink absorbing layer including inorganic fine particles, polyvinyl alcohol and a zirconium compound or an aluminum compound is provided on a support under the state that the distribution of the zirconium compound or the aluminum compound in the ink absorbing layer is not uniform and the much more compound exists in a portion apart from the support. |
