PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which has long durability and enough flame retardancy without using halogenide, a prepreg and a laminated sheet. SOLUTION: The flame retardant resin composition essentially contains (A) a nonhalogenated epoxy resin with two or more epoxy groups in one molecule, (B) a hardener consisting of a triazine modified phenol novolac resin, (C) a copolymer containing maleic anhydride, and (D) 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10- phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide. The prepreg and the laminated sheet are obtained by using it.
