PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of preventing a malfunction of a solid-state image pickup device, a circuit substrate, and a signal cable, which is developed by an invasion of high temperature and pressure steam utilized in autoclave sterilization, and contributes to inferior image pickup. SOLUTION: A hard substrate 22 mounted on one face side with electric parts 31 is arranged from the CCD (charge-coupled device) 18, and one end portion of a long narrow flexible substrate 23 of a soft section is electrically connected to the base end. The CCD 18, the hard substrate 22, and the flexible substrate 23 in a protection frame 24 are sealed and fixed by a sealing section 27 which forms double resin layers with two type of adhesives 25, 26. A plurality of patterns 23c printed on the flexible substrate 23 is provided with each first land 23 and a plurality of second lands 23b which constitute a contacting portion 23d provided in a hand side end section. The flexible substrate 23 is passed through the inside of a bending section 6, extended to the inside of a control section 3, and the contacting portion 23d is provided in the inside of the control section 3.
