PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment device capable of inhibiting any deterioration of the surrounding environment due to an odor in gas within the device from being caused even when a gas discharge port is set at an ill-ventilated place, and discharging the gas within the device without any limitation with respect to the setting place of the gas discharge port. SOLUTION: This garbage treatment device is provided with a garbage treatment device body 2 which is placed within a kitchen console board 1 such as kitchen unit, and is used for subjecting garbage to decomposition treatment with microorganisms and has a garbage treatment vessel 3, a garbage charge port 7 fitted to the upper surface 6 of the kitchen console board 1, a duct 9 for communicating the garbage charge port 7 and the inside of the garbage treatment vessel 3 with each other, a gas discharge passage 11 which is used for discharging gas within the garbage treatment device body 2 from it to the outside and provided with a deodorization vessel 13 and a fan 12, an underfloor ventilation port 19 for ventilating air within an underfloor space 18, a ventilation fan 20 which is placed in the underfloor ventilation port 19 and used for discharging the air within the underfloor space 18 from it to the outside, and a gas discharge port 10 formed at the end of the gas discharge passage 11 in the vicinity of the underfloor ventilation fan 20.
