PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus capable of applying a plurality of different coating solutions at the same time. SOLUTION: In the coating apparatus 10 equipped with a backup roll 13, the comma roll 11 arranged above the backup roll 13 and the liquid dam 15 housing the coating solutions arranged behind the backup roll 13 and the comma roll 11, a partition plate 17 demarcating the liquid dam 15 in a lateral direction is provided to the liquid dam 15 to form a plurality of liquid sump parts 20 and 21.
