PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent compressed air passed through a membrane module from generating dew condensation. SOLUTION: The gas separator 10 is almost constituted of an air compressor 12 for forming compressed air as raw material gas, a dehumidifier 14 for removing moisture from the compressed air discharged from the air compressor 12, a filter 16 for removing dust contained in compressed air, the membrane module 18 for separating the compressed air supplied from the filter 16 into nitrogen and oxygen and a variable throttle valve 20 for adjusting the supply amount of the nitrogen gas separated by the membrane module 18. The membrane module 18 is attached to the upper parts of the cylinder heads 24 and 26 of the air compressor 12. Therefore, the heat of the cylinder heads 24 and 26 is directly transmitted to a case to heat a large number of hollow fibers housed in a hollow fiber housing part 22c. Accordingly, in the gas separator 10, air passed through the membrane module 18 is prevented from generating dew condensation and a heater for heating compressed air can be dispensed with.
