<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage type carrying system for surely, smoothly and quickly switching a course for a carriage and simplifying construction for switching the course. SOLUTION: Two sets of inside guide wheels 23 and two sets of outside guide wheels 25 each contacting the inside faced and the outside faced of two guide rails 5 are provided in the carriage 1. A switch driving mechanism 40 installed near a branch portion 6 or a joining portion 7 of travel rails 4 is used to drive a guide switching mechanism 30 mounted on the carriage 1, and the guide switching mechanism 30 is used for switching operation to make one or the other of two sets of outside guide wheels 25 engage with the guide rails 5 and the other or one of two sets of outside guide wheels 25 separate from the guide rails 5. The guide switching mechanism 30 has a side-by-side long selector arm 31 supported on the carrier 1 turnably around a vertical center of axis and a pair of right and left cam members 32 fixedly connected to two sets of outside guide wheels 25, respectively, and operably connected to both ends of the selector arm 31.</p> |
