PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a softener composition which can impart a high fading- inhibiting effect and a high skin disorder-defending function to both of cotton clothing and chemical fiber clothing. SOLUTION: This softener composition comprises (a) a UV light absorbent having a specific structure, (b) a nitrogen-containing compound having a specific structure, and (c) an anionic surfactant having a 16 to 36C alkyl group or the like and SO3M group and/or OSO3M group (M is a counter ion) in the molecule.
