PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment device for composting organic waste, being safely and economically operated, capable of being miniaturized and wherein heat exchange through heating medium oil is uniformly and rapidly executed, the inside of a treatment tank is kept at a prescribed temperature after a short period of time, and organic waste is composted without generation of malodor. SOLUTION: The treatment device for composting organic waste, provided with a treatment tank having an agitating means and a heating means, ferments the organic waste fed into the treatment tank by agitating it under heating. The device is provided with two kinds of oil-passing pipelines: an external oil-passing pipeline 16 arranged so as to adhere to the whole external circumference face of a treatment tank body 6 having an outlet, and an inner oil-passing pipeline 13 arranged in an inner part of the agitating means 8 placed inside the treatment tank body 6. The device is also provided with a pump 21 for supplying heating medium oil to the pipelines 13, 16, and a gas heating means 18 for heating the heat medium oil. The inside of the treatment tank is heated efficiently and simultaneously from its inner part and its external part, so that the organic waste stored is heated to a prescribed temperature in a remarkably short time.
