PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing aγ-linolenic acid-containing fiber having an excellent residual ratio ofγ-linolenic acid in the fiber and slight discoloration. SOLUTION: An emulsion which comprisesγ-linolenic acid or aγ-linolenic acid-containing oil, 3,5-di-t-butylhydroxytoluene, a sulfur-based antioxidant and a tocopherol and has <=2,000 nm average particle diameter is added to a spinning solution, which is subjected to wet spinning or dry spinning.
