PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piling magnet device that prevents a mutual effect between a steel material attracted to a magnet and stacked steel materials having been piled up when stacking the second or later layer. SOLUTION: The piling magnet device for attracting a steel material 20 to the magnet 10 to stack it in another place comprises a controller for reducing an exciting current value for the magnet just before the second or later stacking provides piling on a stacked steel material 20'.
