PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the inferior folding of a section and paper jam in gripper cylinder in a folding device. SOLUTION: This guide device for the folding device comprising a folding cylinder F, a serrated drum E, and a gripper cylinder G is provided with a paper guide 10 having its inside surface mated with the outer circumferential surfaces of the folding cylinder and the gripper cylinder spaced at some intervals therefrom and forming a triangle cross-sectional paper moving space 26 in an appropriate range extending over the outer circumferential surfaces of the folding cylinder and the gripper cylinder in the rotation direction in the downstream side of the mating position of the folding cylinder and the gripper cylinder. This guide device is constituted of a guide plate 1 provided movably between an operation position forming such an extent of a clearance as not causing slack in a cutting paper relative to the outer circumferential surface of the folding cylinder and a retreating position prevented from interfering to the cutting paper moving from the folding cylinder to the gripper cylinder, a displacement drive means B moving the guide plate 1 between the operation position and the retreating position, a printing speed detecting means C detecting the driving speed of a rotary press and outputting the driving speed signal during printing, and a control means D receiving the driving speed signal outputted by the printing speed detecting means and outputting a displacement switch signal of the guide means to the displacement driving means. |
