PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable paper diaper that has a neat appearance of a crotch portion and leg surrounding portions. SOLUTION: The disposable paper diaper 1 has an absorber 13 interposed between a permeable surface sheet 11 covering a used surface side and a leakproof sheet 12 covering a nonuse surface side, and a facing sheet 20 arranged on the outside of the leakproof sheet 12. In a product state two-folded across the crotch portion, the ratio of a side joint length 1 to a diaper product length L is set at 50% or less, and the dimensional ratio of the larger one of a facing sheet crotch width h2 and an absorber crotch width h1 to a waist opening product width H is set at 40% or less. In a minimum width area of the crotch portion of the disposable paper diaper 1, leg surrounding cuts 29 of the facing sheet 20 forming leg openings are positioned nearer to the center than places outward by 5 mm from the side edges of the absorber 13.
