PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-precision three-dimensional rigid object in a method or an apparatus for manufacturing the three-dimensional rigid object by photocuring a thin layer by irradiating a liquid-like curable composition in a liquid form with a radiant beam and then sequentially laminating the layers. SOLUTION: The radiant beam is formed in a pulse-like beam. A pulse interval and a pulse width of the radiating beam is controlled in accordance with a scanning speed of the radiant beam on a surface of the curable composition in a liquid form. As a result, an exposure level of the beam is made constant irrespective of an increase or a decrease of a moving speed of the radiant beam.
