PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil-preventing structure of a plug with an automatic temperature controller wherein oil spattered during cooking can be prevented from attaching directly to the plug 5, thereby avoiding a failure of a dial 10 or an electric leakage or poor connection due to oil attached to a point of contact 8, while the dial 10 can be seen through a transparent part 12 of a handle 11 so that temperature can be set and checked by means of the dial 10. SOLUTION: In an electric cooking apparatus 1 having a plug 2 with an automatic temperature controller separable from the body thereof, a plug receiver 5 is provided right under the handle 11 of the apparatus 1 to receive the plug 2, while at least a portion of the handle 11, which comes just above the temperature setting dial 10 when the plug 2 is connected to the receiver 5, is made transparent.
