PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an efficiency of molding workability by exactly detecting a target line on a sheet member for tire molding, and to prevent deterioration in durability of a product tire by avoiding abruption among tire component members. SOLUTION: While a conveyor on which a sheet member for tire molding 1 is placed is operating, movement amount of the sheet for tire molding 1 is detected. At the same time, for each predetermined movement amount, a surface of the sheet for tire molding 1 is dotted with a coating agent of a different color from the color of the surface. A dot diameter is made 0.8 mm to 2.0 mm, and a dot pitch is made 2.0 mm to 10.0 mm.
