PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable microsphere composition capable of being irradiation sterilized for parenteral use. SOLUTION: This certain stable composition for parenteral administration comprises a fat, a wax or a mixture thereof and an active ingredient selected from LL-F28249α-λcompounds, 23-oxo or 32-imino derivatives of the LL-F28249α-λcompounds, milbemycin compounds and avermectin compounds. The method for introducing and maintaining levels of the active compound in blood of warm- blooded animals for extended periods of time and for the prevention or treatment of infections and infestations caused by helminths, nematodes, acrids of the family Acaridae and endo- and ectoparasitic arthropods by the parenteral administration of the composition.
