PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-purifying apparatus with which proliferation of micro-organisms in a water-purifying tank 1 can be surely prevented without troubling a user, the waste of purifying water by swill can be reduced and the life of a water-purifying material can drastically be prolonged. SOLUTION: This water-purifying apparatus has a water-purifying tank 1 in which the water-purifying material is accommodated, a primary side flow passage 8 for introducing raw water into the water-purifying tank 1, a secondary side flow passage 9 for introducing purified water passed through the water- purifying tank 1 to a water outlet 2, both magnetic opening/closing valves 5a and 5b which are interposed on the ways of the passages 8 and 9, respectively, a control device 12 for controlling opening/closing operations of the both magnetic opening/closing valves 5a and 5b, and an operation switch 3 for indicating spouting of water or stopping of the spouting of water from the water outlet 2. When the spouting of water is stopped, the both magnetic opening/ closing valves 5a and 5b are kept in closed state by the control device 12 and when water is spouted, the both magnetic opening/closing valves 5a and 5b are opened by the indication of the operation switch 3.
