PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maleimide-based resin having flexibility, high strength, and high heat resistance, and also provide a method of producing the same. SOLUTION: The method of producing the block copolymer maleimide-based resin comprises the steps of mixing a maleic acid analog monomer and/or a maleic anhydride analog monomer, and a diamine without using a solvent, and thereafter heating the mixture at 80-200 deg.C, and thus obtaining two maleimide-based resin oligomers (a), (b) having repeating units each represented by general formula polymerized forms (1), (2), and thereafter mixing (a), (b) alone or mixing (a), (b) by addition of the diamine, a maleic acid or a maleic anhydride (c) without using the solvent in a way that each has a predetermined weight ratio, and then heating the mixture at 80-200 deg.C.
