PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining chair in which the leaning angle of a back body is made larger than the rising angle of a footrest body. SOLUTION: The reclining chair has a link mechanism 61 increasing the angle of rotation in the rising direction of a footrest 21 with respect to the angle of rotation in the direction to rearward of a back body 31, and the link mechanism has a first link 62, one end of which is pivoted to the lower end of the back, a second link 64, one end of which is pivoted to the other end of the first link 62, the other end is pivoted to a seat portion body and is set at nearly the same height of the first link, a third link 65, one end of which is pivoted to the other end of the first link 62 together with one end of the second link 64 and the other end is pivoted to the footrest 21, and when the back body 31 is rearward rotated, the rotation of the lower end of the back body 31 is conveyed to the third link 65 through the first and second links 62, 64.
