PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a processed food capable of being used as a food for emergency, stockpiled for preparing the time of emergency such as calamity and distress, a food for urgent assistance for displaced persons or to a disaster area caused by abroad unstable political situation, a food for a rescue party, or the like, having a low water content and high calorie, and excellent in nutrient valance. SOLUTION: This processed food having a low water content and a high calorie, and excellent in nutrient balance is a curves plate-like one comprising 4-15 wt.% protein, 30-55 wt.% lipid and 40-60 wt.% saccharide, and having 1.0-2.4 wt.% water content and 550-950 Kcal/100 g calorie. A raw material dough obtained by adding water to a raw material containing cereals and kneading the obtained mixture is expanded on a net in a curved plate shape to be shaped into the curved plate shape, and the shaped product is heated and roasted from the lower part of the net to vaporize and volatilize the water content in a raw material dough, in the method for producing the processed food having the low water content and high calorie, and excellent in nutrient balance. |
