PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for producing a refuse derived fuel, designed to hold the temperature in a forming machine at a level optimum for the forming, eliminate feedstock cloggings in the forming machine, and reduce necessary electric power through mitigating the load on an electric motor. SOLUTION: This method for producing a refuse derived fuel comprises crushing and drying refuse and removing materials inappropriate for combustion from the refuse followed by forming the resultant refuse with a forming machine 24; specifically, this method comprises the following steps: part of dry exhaust gas is mixed with the outside air and the mixed gas is introduced into the forming machine 24; the area inside the forming machine 24 to come into contact with refuse is preheated or cooled to a temperature suitable for the final fuel forming; wherein the mixing ratio of the dry exhaust gas to the outside air is controlled to hold the area at the above temperature; when the area comes to the above temperature, introduction of the dry exhaust gas into the forming machine 24 is halted and charge of dry refuse into the forming machine 24 is started. |
