PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a glass plate which has high strength and is capable of reducing thickness, provide the glass substrate and provide an electronic device having the glass plate. SOLUTION: The method of producing the glass substrate 95 comprises the steps of a ST1 for cutting wherein the glass substrate 95 in a predetermined size is obtained by cutting a glass base member 80, a ST4 for finishing wherein a cut surface of the severed glass substrate 95 is finished and a ST5 for chemically strengthening wherein the finished glass substrate 95 is chemically strengthened.
