PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling an extendable shaft capable of surely positioning a radially enlarged member, facilitating the control of products, and increasing the workability of assembly. SOLUTION: This method of assembling the extendable shaft for adjusting sliding resistance by tightening an outer shaft 1 allowing a part of an inner shaft 2 to be fitted therein to the radially enlarged member 10 from the inner diameter side of the inner shaft 2 by screwing an adjustment screw positions the radially enlarged member 10 at a shaft pressing position inside the inner shaft 2 by supporting means 7 and 11 before the member 10 is tightened with the adjustment screw 6 and temporarily fixed with the adjustment screw 6, positions the axial direction of the inner shaft 2 of the radially enlarged member 10 by the supporting means 7 and 11, and prevents the rotation of the member at the time of tightening of the screw into the radially enlarged member 10. Also, this method positions the rotating direction of a guide and the inner shaft 2 before the member is temporarily positioned. |
