PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new door pull structure which can prevent a danger that a hand or fingers are pinched between sliding doors or between a sliding door and a wall when the sliding door is opened. SOLUTION: The hand pinching preventive door pull consists of a main body 2, a cover 3, and a spring 4. The main body 2 is fitted into a recess formed in at least one surface A1 of the sliding door A at the tip thereof. The cover 3 is rotatable about one side of the main body, as a spindle, and the one side forms a frontward portion when the sliding door is opened. The cover 3 is withdrawable inside the main body. The spring 4 always rotatively energizes the cover in a protruding direction. According to the door pull, the cover consists of upper surface portions (3b and 3c) which are connected together at their tips to form an almost U letter as viewed from above, and a front surface portion 3a hanging from the tip of the upper surface portion. The main body has housing grooves (2a and 2b) which form an almost U letter as viewed from above and house therein the upper surface portions and the front surface portion of the cover.
