5-[4-[2- (N-methyl-N- (2-pyridyl)amino) ethoxy] benzyl]thiazolidine -2,4-dione, hydrochloride dihydrate characterised in that it: (i) provides an infrared spectrum containing peaks at 3392, 2739, 1751, 1325 and 713 cm-1; and/or (ii) provides an X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) pattern containing peaks at 9.1, 12.0, 15.7, 16.3 and 19.8 °2theta; a process for preparing such a compound, a pharmaceutical composition containing such a compound and the use of such a compound in medicine. |
