PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure slinging and unslinging of timber without direct hand contact of a person therewith and facilitate carriage of felled timber from a slinging position to an unslinging position via reliable holding. SOLUTION: A cable 10 stretched between a tree 1 and a tower yarder 2 as columns erected in a slinging position and an unslinging position consists of a first cable 11 and a second cable 12 wound on a first and a second winding and unwinding winch 4 and 5 disposed on the tower yarder 2. The tip of the first cable 11 wound on the first winch 4 is tied in loop form to the tips of a pair of holding parts 22 of a slinging accessory 20 holding both holding parts 22 normally opened by the elastic force of a spring member. The second cable 12 wound on the second winch 5 is stretched between the tree 1 and the tower yarder 2, and the tip thereof is tied to the slinging accessory 20. Winding and unwinding operations of the first and second winches 4 and 5 move the holding parts of the slinging accessory 20 into an open state or a closed state holding timber, and also carry the held timber from the slinging position to the unslinging position where it is unslung.
