PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heating using engine cooling water from stopping when a vehicle run by an engine stops idling during stop for air pollution reduction. SOLUTION: To a heating device for vehicles that use engine cooling water, an electric-type heating device A and a change-over switch B are installed. Then an auxiliary battery 10 which becomes a power source for an electric heater 11 of the electric type-heating device A and a motor fan which sends wind thereto is installed. The change-over switch B cuts off both the electric- type heating device A and the auxiliary battery 10 while the engine is revolving because of energization from an alternator to a coil 14. If energization to the coil 14 is cut off while the engine stops, then the electric-type heating device A is connected to the auxiliary battery 10 to operate the electric-type heating device A.
