PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently exfoliate polarizing plates adhered to a surface of a liquid crystal panel with an adhesive agent and to recycle the polarizing plates. SOLUTION: The polarizing plates 11, 12 adhered to the surface of a disused liquid crystal panel 10 are cut in one direction or in two crisscross directions while being adhered to the panel (S1), then are adhered to an adhesive tape 34 (S2) and are exfoliated (S3). The polarizing plates 11, 12 exfoliated together with the adhesive tape 34 are converted into solid fuel and are transferred to thermal recycling.
