<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide a tailored blank used as a press material for a box-like structural material in a car body such as center pillar outers, front side members, or the like at a lower cost. SOLUTION: Two sheets of steel strips 12a, 12b are superposed and joined one upon another in the width direction. A first non-overlapping part 15 is formed by one steel strip 12b either of the steel strips 12a, 12b. An overlapping part 16 is formed by the joint between the steel strips 12a, 12b, being consecutive to the first non-overlapping part 15. A second non-overlapping part 17 is formed by another steel strip 12b either of the steel strips 12a, 12b, being consecutive to the overlapping part 16. Further the steel strip 10 for a tailored blank is formed and used in such a way that either at least one part of the overlapping part 16 and at least one part of the first non-overlapping part 15, or at least one part of the second non-overlapping part 17, form planes that meet.</p> |
