<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine with which a plate-like base material can be cut off in an arbitrary direction to obtain a cut end face without a taper, provide a method for laser beam machining, and provide a plate-like product machined with laser beam. SOLUTION: The machine is provided with a machining head 2 for radiating a convergent laser beam to the main face 10c of the plate-like base material 10, a moving means 3 for relatively moving the machining head 2 to the main face 10c of the plate-like base material 10, and a perpendicularity detecting means 6, 7 for detecting a perpendicularity that is formed between an optical axis 8a of the convergent laser light radiated from the machining head 2. The machine is so composed that the inclination angle that is formed between the optical axis 8a of the convergent laser light and the normal of the main face 10c, being viewed from a moving direction of a part radiated by the convergent laser light on the main face 10c of the plate-like base material 10 can be set based on the perpendicularity detected at perpendicularity means 6, 7.</p> |
