PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scooter type vehicle which can sufficiently ensure a capacity of an article storage-chamber to increase a freedom degree of selecting of an article and improve convenience. SOLUTION: This scooter type vehicle 30, having an article storage chamber 35 capable of storing a helmet 34 under a driver's seat 36, arranges a fuel tank 37 behind this article storage chamber 35 and is provided with a swing type power unit 45 having an engine intake system 91 and an engine exhaust system 96 under the article storage chamber 35. A carburetor 93 and an air cleaner 95 constituting the engine intake system 91 are arranged in a space S1 formed sideward an engine 47 of almost horizontal arrangement provided in the swing type power unit 45 and in the forward side of a transmission case 48, while a space S2 is ensured between a back surface of the swing type power unit 45 and a bottom surface of the article storage chamber 35, the bottom surface of the article storage chamber 35 is arranged in a position lower than the fuel tank 37 so as to make the helmet 34 storable with its crown part toward a side of the driver's seat 36, the article storage chamber bottom surface is made flat shaped and almost horizontal. |
