PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal supply furnace in which freign matter and oxides contained in material do not mix with a molten metal supplied and is instrumental to improve the quality of casting products and to reduce a heating cost by means of heating a portion of the molten metal to such a high temperature that is necessary to product a casting. SOLUTION: An immersion heating tube 2 is made to dip into or pull from a body 1 of an upper face opened furnace storing the molten metal freely from above, is integrated with a heating means 4 inside its surrounding wall, is attached with a filter to an opening 8 which is provided at its bottom, and is provided with an outlet 11 of molten metal on the surrounding edge of its top end part, so that convection is brought about in the molten metal under a condition that it is kept dipped in the molten metal in the body 1 of the furnace.
