PURPOSE: A back light unit of an LCD is provided to realize a liquid crystal display with uniform optical distribution, low power consumption and high durability. CONSTITUTION: A back light unit of an LCD includes a light emitting diode(10) for generating light having blue wavelength, and a fluorescent body(30) for converting the blue light generated from the light emitting diode into light having white wavelength. The back light unit further includes the first light guide plate(40) for uniformly distributing the light inputted from the fluorescent body, a lens(50) for adjusting the incident angle of the light inputted from the first light guide plate to allow the light to be vertically inputted to the second light guide plate(60). The second light guide plate provides a back light from the back side of the LCD. |
