MODULAR JACK AND ITS MOUNTING STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To provide a modular jack with lower height achieved. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of contact pins 10 are arrayed in a row in an insertion recess 12 of a casing 6. The contact pin 10 is provided with a fixing part 21 fixed to a fixing hole 20 of a side wall 6c and an elastic contact part 22 extending from the fixed part 21 backward in a slanting way. A tip 24 of the elastic contact part protrudes outside the casing 6 through a slit 23 when it gets coupled with a modular plug 2, and intrudes into a through-hole 25 of a printed circuit board.
