PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling temperature of a rotary kiln is provided which controls uniformed distribution of heat capacity of the rotary kiln so as to improve quality and productivity. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for controlling temperature of a rotary kiln manufacturing calcium oxide through pyrolysis of limestone, the apparatus for controlling temperature of the rotary kiln comprises an input means(150) setting an expansion ratio and inputting operation starting; a combustion air supply means(206a-206c) supplying combustion air into a gas burner(107) through a plural supply passages; a kiln expansion measuring means measuring a heat expansion ratio of the rotary kiln; a control means(207) providing with control signals for controlling supplying of combustion air according to the comparison results after comparing the expansion ratio measured by the measuring means with a preset expansion ratio; a driving means(210) providing with driving signals for controlling supplying of combustion air according to the control signals of the control means(207); and a supply passage opening and closing means opening or closing each of the supply passages of the supply means(206a-206c) by the driving signals of the driving means(210).
