PURPOSE: A method for directly connecting a plane antenna and a converter is provided to reduce the loss of propagation due to a waveguide by eliminating a transmission line provided between the plane antenna and the converter. CONSTITUTION: An LNB(Low Noise Block down converter)(A) amplifies a signal received through a plane antenna(B) and converts the frequency of the received signal. Without using a waveguide that is used to connect the plane antenna(B) and the LNB(A), an input terminal of the LNB(A) is directly coupled to the plane antenna(B). The length of a coaxial cable is determined according to the wavelength of frequency. This is applicable to a microstrip patch array antenna. To connect the LNB(A) and the antenna(B) directly, the loss of propagation is reduced.
