A windmill with rotor, nacelle and tower. The nacelle contains a planetary gear 4 having a planet retainer 5 onto which the hub 6 of the rotor is rigidly fastened, and which may be connected to the axle of an electric generator. The planetary gear 4 has a ring wheel 7 which is fixedly mounted onto a machine frame 9 in the nacelle or on a part 8 rigidly connected to said frame. The planetary wheels 17a, 17b of the planetary gear may circulate around a centrally placed sun wheel 14, being in engagement with the latter. The sun wheel may be connected to a parallel gear 30. The spider 5 is rotatable mounted (journalled) in the ring wheel 7 by means of at least two sets 17 of twin planetary wheels 17a, 17b. Each set is mounted on its bogie axle 19 on the spider. The spider 5 is via a collar 23, radially protruding over the ring gear and axially rearwardly directed, also journalled rotatably on the curved outside 7b of the ring wheel 7 by means of an outer radial-axial roller bearing 27. Hereby a wind turbine is attained which is suited to deliver very large power, which is very compact, and which ensures a more appropriate transmission of power at each planetary wheel. <IMAGE> |
