PURPOSE: A microstrip patch array antenna for wireless local loop is provided to increase the gain of signal by collecting signals received at patches through strip lines. CONSTITUTION: A circuit is designed by using a dielectric printed board having a dielectric constant of below 3. Patch elements are connected through strip lines to increase the transmitting/receiving sensitivity. The strip lines are determined according to the dielectric constant and thickness of the printed board. The size and spacing of the patch elements are determined according to the wavelength of a predetermined frequency, so that a signal of WLL(Wireless Local Loop)(2100MHz-5500MHz) band or SHF(Super High Frequency) band is received by an antenna employing the patch elements. The length and thickness of a feed line is determined by the dielectric constant of the printed board. The efficiency of antenna becomes 1.5 and the gain thereof is 10 dB(decibel) over.
