PURPOSE: To identify a plurality of persons each who pass through a gate even when the plurality of persons pass through the same gate at the same time in an entrance/exit monitoring system for monitoring entrance into a specified area or exit from the specified area. CONSTITUTION: This entrance/exit monitoring system is provided with transmission antennas 1 arranged respectively at a plurality of entrance/exit gates, tags 2 which are respectively attached to a plurality of persons whose entrance and exit should be monitored, receive a radio wave from the antennas 1 and transmit an identification signal, receivers 3 which are arranged at the respective entrance/exit gates, receive the identification signal from a tag 2 and output a monitoring signal including an ID code included the identification signal and a gate number, and a monitor 5 which is connected to the respective receivers 3 and displays the ID code, the gate number and time on the basis of a monitoring signal outputted from each receiver 3. The plurality of tags 2 that should be attached to the plurality of persons transmit the identification signals at a cycle different from one another.
