Hand powered electric flashlight using light emitting diodes

摘要

A hand-powered flashlight with light emitting diodes (LEDs) and an extremely efficient energy storage device is presented. This allows the flashlight to continue emitting light after mechanical energy input is stopped. A switch is used to provide a user the option to only charge the energy storage device or charge the energy storage device and the LEDs. A DC-DC converter is used that allows more of the energy stored in the energy storage device to be used to provide power to the LEDs.
